Bagyong Issa hits the PBB house in full force

Bagyong Walay disoriented the housemates with the sudden switch of all the females in both houses. Weeks of forming a temporary family within their respective houses was put to waste, as the storm tore that bond apart and mixed everyone up. Gathering their wits to deal with new faces was no mean feat. After a week, the housemates have just begun to get a hold of their bearings, and they would again be forced to hang on tight as another big storm comes their way.

Rob was booted out last night, which left Carol, Rica, Jason and Patrick safe in the PBB house. Rob accepted his fate with a smile, and was welcomed by his mom. Jason was teary-eyed, overwhelmed by the support shown him by the people. Carol was not without surprise either, as she feared that the support would die down after several nominations. Patrick felt he was saved because the people believed he still has a lot to offer, as did Rica, who was happy to be granted an extended stay. Despite the disparaging remarks made by Rocky and a few others, Rica was not discouraged. Instead, she took this as a challenge and looked forward to developing a bond with Rocky. She started right away by engaging the newbie in a comic exchange, with the help of Melai and Carol.

After the drama of eviction night died down, Kuya asked the housemates to come in the confession room individually. It was not the typical nomination process though, as they were asked to give the names of two housemates from the other house. They were again gathered in the living room to openly discuss their votes and reasons, after which they were given the chance to change their votes. Their reasons for nominations were either strategic or personal, and Johan, Kath, Rocky and Rica were chosen as the final bets for nomination.

When some have already heaved a sigh of relief and others have started to rethink their moves to avoid eviction, a second storm hit the PBB house. The quiet of the past week was just a reprieve, and if the first storm was disorienting, Bagyong Issa left all the housemates vulnerable and in doubt. For the first time in PBB history, all 15 housemates are up for eviction, no exemptions. Vote to evict is what Bagyong Issa brings, and all the housemates are hit. No one is safe, no one is held above the others. Be warned. Your vote is a vote to kick out a housemate, and not to save them.

Baby Dengue’s custody case is finally resolved

Finally, Melai and Jason’s out of court settlement, attended by both parties and their corresponding legal counsels, takes place inside the confession room. The first party to express its case is Jason’s; and according to his lawyers, his sole request is to have Baby Dengue’s custody every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Melai’s party gladly agrees with the opposition’s request; but aside from the said setup, they also start laying down their personal requests—including a marriage to once and for all legitimize Baby Dengue as their offspring.

Immediately, Jason denies the marriage proposal. According to him, he still opts to prepare before plunging into the said arrangement, which Melai gladly puts into consideration. After the laying of their terms, Jason gets pretty emotional upon hearing Melai’s expression of her longing. He simply couldn’t help the tears from his eyes as the young lady reiterates every single happy moment she had with him.

Before the session finally ends, Big Brother grants a 5-minute alone time to Melai and Jason; and there they try making up for all their lost times. Now that Melai and Jason’s pseudo-marital set up is once and for all settled, will they be able to find a way to put it into reality in the very near future? Blocks are set left and right for the Melai-Jason and Carol-Hermes tandems

“Blockbuster” is the name of the last game of this week’s “O-versus” task. In this game, each housemate was given 3 minutes to solve the puzzle, where horizontal blocks can only move left and right while vertical blocks can only move up and down. Physical prowess counted for next to nothing, as this was a test of wit and logic. Though they were given freedom to pick their players, no coaching was allowed. Paul Jake served as the referee to even out the numbers, and was given the responsibility to keep time. Sam, who was familiar with the concept of the game, was the best bet of House A and she did not disappoint. Math goddess Rica taught her teammates strategies on how to win the game, and constantly kept her housemates in awe with her intellect.

The game was not the only one with blocks in it. Carol, who was admittedly smitten with Hermes despite earlier clashes, found Cathy a hindrance to a possible relationship with Hermes. She could not help but react to the obvious closeness of the two, and was quite vocal in a roundabout way. Her reactions were not lost on Cathy and Hermes, though. They noticed the way Carol would shy away or react negatively whenever they were together. Cathy brought this up to Melai and Rica, who tried to remain neutral about the issue. Carol tried to mask her feelings by joining in with whatever kept the other girls busy, and for some time, it proved effective. Comments would slip out every now and then, though, like the time Melai was taking care of Dengue and asked Ninang Carol to carry the stuffed seal that was dengue’s playmate. Carol refused to do so, claiming that she didn’t like its smell. Truth was, her aversion was more due to the fact that the toy was Kätlin’s, and she was Hermes’ love interest at some point.

Also blocked was the almost-blossoming Melason tandem. During a conversation with Kuya, Jason admitted that he missed Melai. Without her, he found himself sluggish and with considerably low energy. For him, Melai was more than just a best friend. Likewise, Melai was called into the confession room and was asked what Dengue symbolized for her. Her child kept her inspired, she said, as he reminded her of Jason. She definitely felt something for him, though she wasn’t sure how Jason regarded her. To her surprise, Kuya backed out on his agreement to let Melai and Jason spend time together. On the contrary, they were not allowed to communicate with each other; no smiles, no handshakes. Was this was part of the stress that pushed Jason to relieve himself in a plastic bucket in the activity area?
